Work doesn't feel harsh when the sun shines

Pharmaceutical casting this week.  I am saying this in a whisper, but I have the most discrete Crocs in the world.  They look like Greek sandals and feel like a second skin.  I wear them everywhere.  And the vertiginous heels are in a bag.

It occurred to me when I saw the proofs that I have two tone feet when I have the heels on.  So back to M-A-C I go for some kind of foundation blender.  Why don't they photoshop things like that! I love the sandals, but I forget that they have a strap or two across the instep.   I'll have to hope the client likes the look of my feet.

To be honest, this week has been a blur with my party (strictly speaking 'get-together') arrangements.  I always buy too much food, so this time I've pared it down to nibbles and essentials.   In order to try to accommodate everyone, the date's been shuffled about a lot, and now I've delighted no-one...  Anyway, it was this week.

The theme was Superheroes, and I have to say everyone excelled themselves in the silly costume arena again.  My white/blonde wig meant I had to be X-Men's Storm.  I chickened out of the white contact lenses.  I've heard that without a string of opticians' appointments you end up scratching the corneas, so I just widened my eyes in the photographs.

I've laughed so hard at the party, but I'm rationing myself to three a year.  The next one's December, so any help on themes is going to have to come earlier.

Park today for some sunbathing.  I am tired but feel like I've had the best week.  Bring on the new week, I say.
