River, Rescue and Relaxation

So far so smooth.  I've had some good filming experience this month.   Did a hospital drama which hasn't yet gone to air and a shoot on on a boat for a film.  Despite having a holiday on a barge as a kid, I do not do that well on my 'sea legs'.   Plus the weather couldn't decide what it wanted to do.  Raining on and off.

Bit of outdoor work with some gorgeous stallions, where I wasn't allowed to photograph them, unfortunately.  Would have made some stunning photos.  A lot of what I do is embargoed for photography so as not to let any spoilers out, but it does mean my blog is limited.   What I can show you are two versions of my legs (wearing different outfits) for a cancer charity.  I'll leave you to guess which two pairs are mine.

During the decent weather I've to water aerobics and walking to the park and back.  We've seen turtles swimming in with the carp before now, so my Mum came with us to have a look. We noticed some goslings had climbed out of the water leaving one stuck between the bank and an angry swan.  The little bird disappeared under the surface and pop up again quite a way away but the swan carried on advancing making threatening sounds.  With other geese were on the bank honking in alarm, I saw Mum lying by the side of the water.  Suddenly there was a flourish and Mum plucked the bird from a watery grave and put him back on the bank where he toddled off back to his family.  Mum was surprised to hear a burst of applause for her actions.  A life saved.  We didn't even have time to get a pic of it, but Mum assured me that the gosling had a surprised look on it's face as it was airlifted out.  Typical us at the park causing a commotion.

I've done a fitting where I'm an upmarket wedding guest, and I am loading up on the bling for that one now I've been measured for the upcoming job.  I am using my own dress but all the accessories apart from jewellery are provided.  I am getting a new staple wardrobe of inexpensive and plain basics.  Useful for carting around for one season and then moving on to the next season's styles.  You never know what look you're going to be needing to provide.

Every month or so I have to update my photo portfolio to accommodate all the hair styles and so on.  Mum did my hair again, and we used all the new photographic equipment for the shots.  I have background cloth, background clips, new tripod and lights, plus light reflecting umbrella.   The only thing I don't have is the stand for the background.  We use the clips against my freshly painted pale wall by fixing them to the giant mirror.  I have triple aspect in my living space and I love the natural light it gives for photographs.  I'm even going to do some photos for my mum's website for her using the equipment.

Had Sunday meal with friends before rowing down the river on one of the sunnier days.

Just wanting some more reliable sun before wedding season starts, as I'd hate this summer to be a monsoon.  Here's hoping.
